With a view to opening their first store outside of Quebec, Simons required the demolition and expansion of a portion of West Edmonton Mall including interior and exterior improvements, to house their new 115,000 s.f. retail outlet, of which 95,000 s.f. is dedicated to shopping space. The design of the store contains some distinctive features including: vertical twisted titanium blades that create an ever-changing arching motion on the exterior façade; express fitting rooms for women that are conical and descend from the ceiling; a 30' glass face at the store's corner profile containing crystalline columns that use sensory mechanisms that respond to human movement, creating a softly undulating tide of light.

The project included exterior façade upgrades to portions of the existing building, re-development of the existing building for new tenants and site redevelopment. This project was delivered using a Construction Management format.

The exterior finish includes insulated metal panels and red metal cladding features with canted glazing.

Once again in 2011 our services were requested for an addition to the Pre-Owned facility of 4,064 s.f. In 2012 we were retained to construct an addition (5115 s.f.) to the original building. The projects were delivered using the Construction Management format.
